IMMUNIZATION AND WELLNESS CARE

We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program; spay and neuter surgery; and specialized blood tests for all life stages.

DENTAL CARE

Dr. Banker is a Fellow in the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry with over 20 years of advanced dental procedures experience. Advanced dental care is available, including periodontal treatments, root canals, crowns and orthodontics.

The dental services at Sedgefield Animal Hospital and Dental Center is not like others in our area. Our practice has provided advanced care and referral dental services since 1983. We have had patients visit us from as far as Canada, New Jersey, and Arkansas because of the level of care we provide. What a convenience that you don't have to travel to find this level of service !!!!!!!

Dr. Banker was the first person in the Mid Atlantic States to become certified as a Fellow in the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry. He has been the referral dentist for the College of Veterinary Medicine at N.C.S.U. He was one of only two veterinarians in the United States to complete the year long Dental Certificate Series at Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Over the last 20 years he has taught Veterinary Dentistry all over the United States and Canada.

SURGERY

We offer advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened for safety, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include: heated surgery tables for greater comfort; advanced sterilization techniques; ECG and oxygen saturation monitors; intensive after surgery care and full blood testing.

PAIN MANAGEMENT

BOARDING

Sedgefield Animal Hospital provides modern, air conditioned and heated boarding facilities for your pets. Twice daily leash walks are included in the basic boarding package. Cats have a separate feline facility where they have privacy and can relax in comfortable units.

The veterinarians at Sedgefield Animal Hospital rotate observing your pet on a daily basis. Your pet is observed throughout the day by our caring and capable staff. Pets are like our children we feed, nurture and lavish attention on them. Our highly qualified kennel staff do the same when you can't be there.

BATHING

Treat your pet to a luxurious bath. Our special, cleansing baths remove dirt, debris and that doggie pet odor your pet will feel fresh and revitalized. If scratching is a problem, our medicated baths contain soothing agents that stop the itching. Services also include nail trim and ear cleaning.

DAY CARE

Is your pet unhappy or lonely while you're at work? Give your companion the personal attention he or she deserves throughout the day. We offer the same TLC and leash walks offered to our longer-term guests.

MICROCHIPPING

Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery.

NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING

Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active.
