The Carmella Fund
The Carmella Fund was established in February 2005. Named in honor of a very sweet boxer mix, that came into our lives one cold January morning. Carmella was brought in by a kind animal control officer that couldn't bear to take her to the shelter. She was severely malnourished and was suffering with a severe leg injury. After 6 months of rehabilitation we were able to adopt Carmella out to a wonderful family and she is now living every dog’s dream life.
The Carmella Fund was designed to provide financial support for stray or injured pets that need medical attention. Over the past four years we have raised over $4,000 and have helped dozens of animals get the care and love they deserve.
However, we can not do it alone. Please call 336-294-1944 for more information to find out ways you can help support The Carmella Fund and pets in our community.
You can also stop by to make a direct donation or purchase items for sale.
Liz White, a local celebrity, chef, and author has donated 20 of her “Opa” cookbooks for us to sell. All proceeds go directly to The Carmella Fund. We are asking for a donation of $25.
We also have “Theo Rocks” T-shirts for sale for a donation of $18.00 or more. It is available in sizes small to x-large.
